August b'day gers!

I met Cindy yesterday to make our hairs. As usual, we went to west mall. I rebonded and trimmed my hair, while cindy rebonded lower half of her hair and do treatment. I spent around $140 (wallet vomits blood le)!

After that, we went to causeway point to eat dinner and took bus 178 to attend religious class. Mr Lim was teaching us about the 五常 -- 仁义礼智信. Although I've learnt it before but it's very interesting to learn again, the feeling was totally different and I had another levell of thoughts about it.

After the class, we celebrated the birthdays of Cindy jie, Xiu Zhu aunty, and yashui aunty which falls on the month of August.

少年班

Last sunday went to shao nian class and I wouldn't sleep on the previous night. This was because tm asked me to teach the religious song. Actually, the song was supposed to be taught by huiying on that day as she was the person in-charge, but last minute, she had to bring a child to attend the children class and eventually the task was "forwarded" to tm.

Tm was playing the religious song called "师徒情相随" and was practising, and I was also singing... Then, after awhile I asked tm on what was the meaning of some sentences and he said I've the potential to teach and would like to "pass" the chance to me. While practising, I was so nervous and was chattering away on the explaination of the song.

On the actual day, I had to teach them the song for 20 mins and the teens was like very quiet and not active at all. But tm said that I was very steady and 自由发挥 most of the time and not according to the script rehearsed on the previous night.

The song's characters were quite difficult to read, and I regret not to teach them how to read. Cos I was too nervous and don't have confident to say properly. At the end, I asked them to stand up to sing the song! This was my first virgin time to teach a religious song and I hoped that I did it well. Gambatte! :)

I also helped Liquan on another activity which was not supposed to be mine as well. >.<!!! So wierd. I wanted to teach liquan on how to make the bread sushi one, but he don't want :( So I helped to teach the teens loh!!! ^_^

The entire class lasted until 1.30pm and meeting last until 3.50pm. Wosh.. What a long day! I was so tired after that...sob sob.

Finally back from KL

Last week Thursday afternoon (17-07-2008), I went to KL to attend a 3-days class. Woah! It's a long journey and we took the travel bus there. Together with peiyi, lvying, xingyi, yanting, zhehua, lisang, jiayi, yingyi, huiying, zhenyi and Mr Chua, we headed to our destination.

I was quite kiasu, and brought quite alot of food and tibits like 2 x curry puffs from 大四喜 and also 2 x peanut butter breads from crystal jade, and around 6 packets of Malteaser (dark chocolate was my favourite), and of course my dinner (chicken rice)!!! In the end, thanks to those young fellow teenagers whom helped me to finish up all my food.

Sad to say, my Sony Ericsson hp was not obeying me 1 hour before I went to KL. The touch-screen was not sensitive and I had a hard time trying to fix the phone. Zhehua was also trying hard to help me, but to no avail. And I gave up, cos we knew that the phone will be fixed automatically after the class (very confident!). After class, the phone was still not working until the next 2 days, it was working perfectly like never been before.. Haha! Miracles! ^_^

It was an extremely enduring class because I sat throughout the class for 6 hours before our lunch break and then sat another 6 hours before our dinner break. I never sleep wor, only tend to close my eyes to relax my tiring pair of "lemon" eyes for a while. As I sat besides Lvying and Peiyi, I have a dictionary on my right and an attentive lady on my left, haha.. even though I was not attentive, I also can "copy" their notes.. LOL..

Thanks to all the speakers which made the class very enriching and I learnt alot and improved my personalities through the class. All of us stood up to present our thoughts except Lisang and Jiayi, and we all did well. What a wonderful day!

After I came back from KL, reaching Singapore @ around 1.30am, I reached home @ around 2.20am. Slept at 3am. The next morning (21-07-2008), I was been activated to go to work which was supposed to be my rest day. Duh! I was so despaired as I thought I could sleep like no nobody business. Well.. I requested to work till only until 7pm as I need to attend Shao Nian Class meeting @ feng ge's house.

Well.. It's a month since I saw yingzhe (feng-ge and wanyi's son) 卡哇依的涅!太可爱了^_< He grown up alot faster than I can imagine and was always smiling at guests. I loved him!!! Yingxing was such an intelligent and mature child and even know how to reprimand me, saying, "不要这么大声, 会吵到弟弟!" 噢, 我的天啊! She said that to me when I accidently throw a toy with a thump instead of putting it softly. My gosh, yingxing was well-trained and very civilised, I got to learn from her! Haha!

On this friday (25-07-2008), I went to ritual class after work as I was taking 6-hours time-off. Well.. It's been a while since I attended the class and Xiu-zhu jie was conducting the lesson. I revised 献供茶 and 献香 with aunties and was surprisingly good, as I didn't expect it when I didn't study at all!

Yesterday (26-07-2008), attended to an auntie's grand-son's baby showering. The vegetarian buffet was sumptous and so many of our religious friends were there eating and chatting away. I'm so excited and enthusiastic to see so many friends there. The food was very tempting, although I was quite full, but I still eat quite alot! They ordered the buffet online from www.yuanxin.com.sg you may visit their website and take a look. I got the pamphlet and name card and was very amazed by the savouring dishes..

Today, Zhe hua organised a basketball session, tm, shiming, zongheng, yunshuang, dingyuan, shigeng, jiahao, Mr Chua, yuanfu and others were going to the bb court at toh guan. I was actually about to go but, in the end was quite slack and thus was still blogging away and resting my feets. (I was a lazy pig!!) Sob sob!

Jesus was a VEGETARIAN!

It's true! When Jesus was borned, he was a vegetarian, so was his parents and brother. There was no prove in Bible that Jesus ate meat.

Look at this passage from Luke 24:41-43:

This scene occurred after his death and resurrection which means that it occurred after he had been with his disciples for three years:

".........he (Jesus) asked them, "Do you have anything to eat?" They (his disciples) gave him a piece of broiled fish, and he took it and ate it in their presence."

The "fish" was actually not the the real fish. It was the dried seaweed and fish was a greek word. Jesus was merciful and compassionate and do not consider animals as food. He would like us to provide tender love and care for the animals and treat them as our friends.

On today's farms, animals are treated like machines, never granted the Sabbath rest required by God or any of the consideration that is their due as God's creatures. Within days of birth, for example, cows have their horns torn from their heads and chickens have their beaks seared off with a hot blade. Male cows and pigs are castrated without painkillers. All of these animals spend their brief lives in crowded and ammonia-filled conditions, many of them so cramped that they can't even turn around or spread a wing. Many do not get a breath of fresh air until they are prodded and crammed onto trucks for a nightmarish ride to the slaughterhouse, often through weather extremes and always without food or water. The animals are then hung upside down and their throats are sliced open, often while they're fully conscious.

The only legitimate Christian response to such mockery of God's beautiful creatures is to adopt a vegetarian diet.

More information can be found on: http://www.jesusveg.com/qow83100.html

This link shows the cruelity on how humans torture and kill animals for meat: http://www.meatstinks.com/

Exploring Changi Airport Terminal 3

Yesterday went to Changi Airport to explore with cindy. I grabbed the idea from sharine, haha (oops!) It was a cloudy day! We met at Jurong East MRT platform and took the MRT train all the way to Tanah Merah and transit to changi. Throughout whole journey, we chatted alot about her family and my family and our friends, and walk to Alexandar..bla bla bla.

As I was too hungry, cos I never had any breakfast, so cindy accompany me to lunch @ Terminal 2 first before we took the skytrain to Terminal 3. I was surprised that Breeks cafe actually introduce 3 new vegan meals and I tried the curry pasta pomodoro. It was great, the indian curry fragrance really thrilled me up and I never regret having this meal. NOTE: Remember to ask the chef not to put in onion or garlic when you ordered!

'BREEKS Café has introduced three new savoury vegetarian meals to whet the appetites of vegetarians (or those occasional vegetarians):'

'Curry Pasta Pomodoro ($9.50 ++): Slightly spicy pasta dish, the pasta meal is a fusion between Indian curry (leaves) flavour and the ever-popular tomato pureed sauce.'

DSC00351 DSC00352

'Spicy Pesto Vegan Pasta ($9.50 ++): Don’t be fooled by this mild looking chilli padi-pesto infused spaghetti dish. It can be a fiery pasta ball of fire for the uninitiated.'

'Sautéed Fresh Garden Salads ($8.90 ++): This pan-fried vegan meal has a surprisingly complex flavour when a host of vibrant vegetables are tossed; a delectable main course.'

Breeks! Café outlets:

Changi Airport, Terminal 2, Ngee Ann City, Marina Square, Eastpoint Mall, HarbourFront Centre.

The entire Terminal 3 was quite huge, especially the basement got a lot of eatery and shops. But the departure hall was even prettier, haiz.. we couldn't go in to take pictures.

It's the first time I saw Ya Kun Kaya Toast Coffee Stall which opens 24 hours.

DSC00356

I was wondering what are the "solar plates" doing on the top of the ceiling? Decorations? Very messy leh.

DSC00364 DSC00365

Hey hey.. did you saw the galaxy on the ceiling?

DSC00353 DSC00354

After exploring trip to T3, we took the public bus (No. 36) to City hall to shop. I was very sua ku.. cos I haven went to suntec for a long time and I found that the overhead bridge that linked suntec and cityhall disappeared and switched to the underground tunnel. My only shopping victory was a bright pink handbag! Whereas cindy bought 1 sports shoe from T3, and then offer sneakers and a few children & recipe books from carrefour.

After the whole tiring trip, we met Sharine, Shihua, Yun Shuang and Jia wei for Karaoke session @ Kbox. The happening thing was the drinks that we ordered haven come even though we pressed "0" for 4 times and requested the drinks to be served for 4 times! OMG! Poor Service!!! Cindy and I went off early @ 11.30pm. We were just in time to board the last train. :)

垦亲会 BBQ @ West Coast

In joy and celebration with Zi chun's advanced birthday on 28th of June (Actual birthday was on 3rd July). We have an outing @ west coast, bbqing and chit-chatting..

Mr Chua brought the gas stove and wok to fry vegetarian oyster with egg and carrot cake. Haha.. I also fry one plate leh.. and it was gone in a flash! Wahaha.. 谢谢捧场! :P There were alot of satays! Cool, my favourite!

Zichun's family brought their bicycles along. One of the bike's seat was so high wor, so I ride the smaller one. Tm brought me to cycle the whole west coast one round, that's so cool! Luckily I still know how to ride a bike, if not very pai seh! :)

I also managed to play with one sparking lightstick, which Jiahao requested from the malay bunch of families beside our bbq pit for free. Wah kauz.. Jiahao was so daring.. I never knew that he actually went to ask for it when I say say only. Thanks didi!

And then, we have a PSP session with 3 x PSPs on the go. Jiahao, wenhao and tm brought one each. Haiz.. it's a pity that we couldn't rent a bike there and there were not much activities or playing grounds around, so we were entertaining ourselves. Nevertheless, it was quite fun and relax to gather around with a bunch of friends.

On the following day, which was sunday. I met cindy at bukit batok (west mall) for breakfast before beginning our garang guni work. It was damn hot and heaty in the morning and afternoon. Although I wore all white (with white cap as well), I still cannot take the heat. Me and Cindy always took the old white clothes to cover oursleves when we sit at the back of the lorry.

I had Curry Mee at the kopitiam in Tampines. Wow.. all the food were so cheap. 1 bowl of curry mee just cost $2 only and I couldn't finish it. So, you should know how ample was the bowl of mee. Thanks to Junhan kor who baked the cheesy potato for us..That was very sweet! Weifeng said that if you never came with us, you have to make for us to eat every time we went to your house. Haha!!!

This time round, there were new faces, like baoling, baoli and shiming who joined us in this holy event. They were doing a very great job and we managed to complete the task by 4.45pm. We earned around $600-700, which was an increment based on the past record. Keep it up everybody! Jia you!

Today I would be so free, cos tm went to 3-days class liao and this week has no classes or events for me. Hee.. that's why I have time to blog ma! Back to watch 超级星光大道 loh!

WANTED

Well well well... this was indeed a very scheming and thrilling movie!!! Frankly speaking, I was extremely frustrated when my bf wanted to watch this movie. Yes, I was unwilling to watch the movie and was very hesitated to follow him. But, you know, guys always like to use their "weapon" to force you to watch with them.

Eventually, I ended up sitting in the movie threate, waiting to see how nice was the movie, so that I could "suan" my bf back. Remarkably, I was thrilled by how the movie was presented and my eyes were wide opened, anticipating what's the next move. You would be astonished by how the whole movie twisted and turned.

Wesley Gibson was an ordinary accountant in a small company. He was very tired by his stressful job and he was constantly reprimanded by his fat and disgusting boss. Until one day, he met a woman who told him that his father (assassin) was murdered and wanted to recruit him and at the same time revenge his father.

Little did he found out that he had an extra-ordinary power to shoot a bullet in a twirling curved direction, reactions was like a swift and with tremendous speed he could run faster than normal person. Wesley's heart-beat jumped up to 400 times when his adrenaline level rises. He was then trained to become an assassin to follow his father footpath.

However, when he was ordered to kill his enemy (betrayer of their secret society) who murdered his father, he found out that all the people who trained him up were lying to him. He was very regretful after he killed his enemy...

Please visit the cinema to find out about the whole story! Although the movie was a bit violent, but it was worthwhile! :) It wasn't just an aggressive show, some parts were also quite a comedy. Haha!
